Containers for Change

Combining Earth care and rewards-based engagement Containers For Change are mobilising every day Australians to pull literally billions of plastic bottles out of the environment and into recycling stations.

Recognising that real change can occur when people are educated on environmental matters whilst in school, Containers For Change engaged us to create an animation that would speak clearly and cleverly to school children to galvanise them to take action against plastics pollution.

For this project we provided Containers For Change a full-service, one-stop-shop offering that meant we could produce the entire project without them having to deal with other service providers. We took the acorn of an idea through to completion by creating the full storyboard, commissioning and recording the voice over, hand-drawing the graphic recording that formed the basis of the animation, dealing with music and sound effect licensing and editing it into the final product. We decided to use a vibrant colour palette of verdant greens that brought a real energy to the animation and tied in nicely to the themes of environmental conservation. At the time we commenced work Containers for Change, Queensland had collected 1.8 billion bottles; and by the end of our involvement we had to re-edit as they had achieved the amazing milestone of collecting 2 billion bottles.
